Manchester Orchestra, The Strongest & Most Emotional Band Out Of These 4 BANDS & THAT IS SAYING A LOT!!!! Not to mention Andy Hull is also part of the sickest side project since Team Sleep & not only is it painfully emotional, intense & beautiful – But, it & he has it planned out so well. They have 2 Albums out right now & their 3rd Album will be the end to a trilogy amongst a concept regarding a Captain of an old fishing Boat who sets sail and finds the thing that he misses, loves, hates & believes in.. Along with insane Sea Creatures that I won’t even ruin for than fan that will look into this. I have so much respect for Mr. Andy Hull & I am going to try and get Andy to give me my first interview ever for my little Blog which will become an actual website once all of my money isn’t going towards helping others. I figure the Karma Police will eventually come & bail me out of these shackles..




















Mimicking Birds – Nate Lacy Was Already My Favorite Songwriter In The Indie Game & Then My Favorite Musician From My Favorite Band (American Band & Almost Global) To Sign Them To Glacial Pace. If You Don’t Know Who I Am Talking About, Then You Apparently Need To Do Some Research, I Promise You That Songs Such As "The Loop" & "Cabin Fever" Speak For Themselves & Those Are All Mr. Nate Lacy~!!



Phoenix (One of my Top Albums Of The Year! By Far The Best Musicians Of All The New Bands. Their Sass Factor Reaches That Of HOT FUZZ By The Killers & That Is BEcause Of ALL 4 MEMBERS INVOLVED!! Greatest Band From France, Not The Best Singer.. They Would Be Lucky To Crack Top 10, But I Think Their Upside Is A STRONG A+ ~







He Dreams Awake Is The Weird One Of The Bunch.. I Heard Of Him Through A Mutual Friend & I Was Blown Away With The 40+ Tracks I Got My Hands On & That Is When I FOund Out That He Doesn’t Do Many Interviews, There Aren’t Any Pictures I Can Find Of Him & He Hasn’t Even Released His Debut Album Yet~ His Music Is Very Intriguing & The Theories + Structure That He Uses Or Refuses To Use, Makes It That Much More Mysterious To Me. There Is Something About This Solo Artist Who Obviously Treats Music As An Art & His Title Of Musician More Like A Status Of An Artist. This Doesn’t Sound Right, But I Don’t Know What Makes Sense With This Individual & I Would Put A Lot Of Money On The Fact That Is Exactly How He Is Playing His Cards.. Very Close To The Chest~

Manchester Orchestra are the Greatest Band in the World As I Write This~!!!!

Andy Hull & Co. = Manchester Orchestra Are The Best Band I Have Heard In The Last 5 Years At Least.. They Have Many Elements To Their Music & The Band Behind Him Is Ridiculous~
At times, I hear some Radiohead influence, I hear guitar work/bends that remind me of Rhinoceros, Mayonnaise or other early Smashing Pumpkins Masterpieces~ There are a few chords that bring Muse to mind, But the most startling fact is that Andy Hull sounds like Kurt Cobain's illegitimate son (If he had one, maybe he did;) mixed with early & balls out Conor Oberst~ I remember reading a review where they said that Conor was like "A Starving Robert Smith" & I checked into Bright Eyes right after that & he didn't dissappoint.. Unfortunately, Conor has turned into 50 Cent of late & actually sings about being a millionaire in his lyrics.. I also got to chill with them last time they were in town & even though Conor was so fucking down to earth & shockingly humble, his new band: The Mystic Valley Band are comprised of a bunch of assholes who think they are too cool for school even though my sorry ass who hasn;t even put out an album yet has close to 200,000 more plays on my site than any of them.. I hate to even type this because I'm not like that, but if Isaac Brock & Modest Mouse, Serj Tankien & System Of A Down, Chino Moreno & The Deftones & the very unique Sigur Ros (to name a few of the Musicians I have spent time with) are all cool enough to spend hours with me in A New Orleans Bar, Backstage in Atlanta or recently with Isaac Brock in Orlando & treat me like another artist & human being, I just understand how a bunch of kids who are just backing up an amazing Songwriter can be such fucking pricks.. He even gave them 2 tracks a piece on his latest album & Air Mattress is so fucking pathetic that I will never understand what Conor was thinking, but to the same extent, it shows what a great person he is..

The point of this rant is that: Andy Hull & Manchester Orchestra are by far the greatest band in America right now; right next to Modest Mouse of course~ Andy is an extremely wonderful songwriter and I know that he will be writing honest & astonishing music for years to come..
As I write the songs for my Debut Album, I am so grateful to Manchester Orchestra for giving me the inspiration to put even more into my songs & the whole concept behind them.

One day I will shake his hand & thank him, right before I go onstage to open a show for them & at that point, my life will be that much closer to being complete.

GO & SUPPORT THIS BAND & BUY BOTH OF THEIR ALBUMS~ THEY DESERVE IT~

Funny enough, my favorite Comedian I have found since David Cross about a Decade ago is the hilarious Zach Galifianakis & they are similar in their groundbreaking brilliance & they look similar as well with their long red beards.. My Irish roots make my beard grow a dark red as well; maybe I should grow it out & then I can be totally unoriginal (BEING UNORIGINAL IS SOMETHING THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN WITH MY MUSIC, WRITING & OTHER FORMS OF ARTISTIC EXPRESSION)

I WILL NEVER GET OVER HOW BANDS THAT RIPPED THEM OFF ENDED UP SELLING MORE RECORDS IN ONE WEEK THAN THE GREATEST BAND SINCE THE BEATLES DID IN A DECADE LONG CAREER. BITTER?! CAN I SAY : F#CK YES!!!!?!

Merriweather Post Pavilion comes out on the 20th of January. It is being questioned by many of the big names in the indie world if there will be a better album released in 2009!!! I understand that Animal Collective is a very talented and extremely unique group of true artists, but to say call it the BEST ALBUM OF THE YEAR in the 1st week of 2009 is pretty ridiculous!!! I live in my own set of shadows and had never heard of them until a couple months ago, so I checked into what the music from this album could possibly sound like. The Modern Music is a great music blog and that is where I found a link to "Brother Sport" a song that closes the album and has been called the strongest on the album by many great minds -

WHEN IT COMES TO RELEASING AN ALBUM, DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION IS VERY SMART, BUT WHO IS THE BEST: CDBABY? TUNECORE? CREATESPACE? CATAPULT? DITTO MUSIC?

WHEN IT COMES TO RELEASING AN ALBUM, DIGITAL DISTRIBUTION IS VERY SMART, BUT WHO IS THE BEST: CDBABY? TUNECORE? CREATESPACE? CATAPULT? DITTO MUSIC?

After spending 9 Hours and 42 Minutes READING + READING + COMPARING + SEARCHING + READING: I am leaning towards the UK Based DITTO MUSIC right now..

There are so many different factors to take into the ultimate decision, but Ditto offer some very cool features with their package.

I guess time will tell, but I am about finished with everything and considering the fact that I need to send in the ALBUM (With Artwork + UPC Code So That It Can Be At The Very Bottom Of The Charts) at least 6-8 weeks before hand so that everything can be Tracked & Sold Flawlessly By The Release Date~

It takes even more time (up to a couple of months) to get on all the different services that will carry and sell my CD mainly iTUNES Which Accounted For 800 Million of the 1.2 Billion Dollars In Digital Sales.

If I Am Lucky, I Can Have Everything In Place To Actually Have Success With This First Offering And If That Is The Case = I WILL BE HAPPY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MANY YEARS~

The biggest competition for Radiohead is Coldplay and they have all personally thanked Thom Yorke & Co. for their careers. SELLOUTS??! SHUT THE F#CK UP!! MODEST MOUSE HAVE JUST WENT FROM TALKING HEADS INTO MUCH BETTER THAN TALKING HEADS

I really have no problem if artists want to sell their work to a commercial interest. Its their music, they can do what they want. I'm in no position to judge their motivations. But I really wish people would drop the completely false assertion that capitalism has built this perfect meritocracy where the "hard-working" succeed and the "lazy" fail. Capitalism, or more accurately corporate-powered capitalism in America, has messed up the lives of millions of people.

When an industry is outsourced to a different country leaving hundreds of thousands of people out of a job (and with sparse replacements of equal value) is it because those workers were too "lazy"? Or is it because the attainment of ever-better profit margins have become truly mercenary. If it were all about "hard work" why are so many hard workers doing so badly?

"Almost every non-homeless person in America is over-privileged, at least in a global sense."

Compared to starving children in the third world, or political dissidents in China, sure. But is that a fair comparison to make when critiquing the level of "privilege" in America, by comparing it to the very worst cases in the world? Why not compare it to the very best cases in the world? With all our affluence why are so many millions without health care? Why is our infant mortality rate plummeting to third-world levels? Why are corporations almost completely unchecked and given legal status equal to a living being? This line of argument seems very close to "you don't know how good you got it, so shut up". A defense of American capitalism that the ever-growing ranks of working poor are most likely fed up with. But then, perhaps they are too lazy and uncreative to deserve success.

From my experience, the best defense against cries of "sell out" is to make transcendent art that renders such criticisms meaningless. If you can't manage that, perhaps you aren't working hard enough.
